Shell Head over shadows the Green Monster?

As the days grow closer to the release of the new Iron man movie I grow with anticipation to finally see shell head on the big screen. One thing bothers me though. It seems Marvel has had very very little buzz about another Incredible movie they are releasing which I expect to be even better than Iron Man… The Incredible Hulk!

Yea yea, I know a lot of you are saying we just had a crappy Hulk movie, and I would agree with until I found out two huge details about the movie. First Ed freaking Norton is the HULK! Ok I hope I am not the only one who thinks he is one of (if not THE) greatest actors of my generation. I had always hoped he would do a comic book movie because I grew up reading these stories and I would love to see an actor finally do them justice on the big screen. Second, they are following the story arc “Return of the Monster” the best Hulk story I have ever read. I could be biased because it was drawn by John Romita Jr.( the best artist Marvel has). If you haven’t read it you really owe it to yourself to give it a read. One of the few books I really just couldn’t put down until I finished it. Amazon has it here

Over all I do think Iron Man will be a great movie I just hope Marvel gives the green guy the right kind of buzz he deserves. This new Hulk movie should make that old one seem like a piece of crap with a top quality actor such as Norton making Banner and the Green Monster’s animations come to life. I guess only time will tell.

Spidey and Punisher

This was a piece I used as a warm up piece but I thought I wold post it to show some progression in my work. I wanted to play around with doing the hard Frank Miller shadows. Overall I think its okay not my best work but certainly not my worst either. I should have more to post later today.

Mask of Spider-man

This was an idea I had to do for a cover of Spidey. I wanted to try and make Spider-man look really cocky almost John Travolta-ish (from the greese days). I tried to convey this with his hair and facial expression. I really think this piece would benefit from a nice color job. I may post this later if I decide to color. Enjoy this for now.
